Terms & Conditions
Effective date: 1 October 2026. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Meyad Android app ("Meyad", "the app"), published by Graphical Art Studio ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing or using Meyad, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Licence to use the app
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use Meyad on Android devices you own or control, for your personal or business reminder needs, in accordance with these Terms and the Google Play terms of service.
What the app is
Meyad is an offline-first reminder tool. You add the items you want to track — warranties, insurance, subscriptions, documents, medicines and anything else — and Meyad schedules reminders on your device before their dates. It stores your items only on your device, and you do not need an account to use it. We operate no server that holds your data.
Reminders are a help, not a guarantee
Meyad's reminders are a convenience to help you remember important dates. They are scheduled and delivered by your device's operating system, and their timing can be affected by things outside our control — for example if the phone is switched off, in battery-saver or "do not disturb" mode, if notification or exact-alarm permissions are denied, if the system delays or cancels background alarms, or if the date or settings were entered incorrectly. Meyad is not a substitute for your own record-keeping. You remain responsible for tracking and acting on your own deadlines, renewals and expiries, and you should not rely on Meyad alone for anything where a missed date carries legal, financial, health or safety consequences.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the information you enter, for entering dates and settings correctly, and for using the app lawfully. You are responsible for keeping your own backups of anything important — because we store nothing for you, we cannot recover data that is lost, deleted or removed when the app is uninstalled. The optional bill-scan feature reads dates on your device to help fill the form; you should always check that the recognised date is correct before saving.
Ads, Remove ads and payments
Meyad is free to download and shows advertisements supplied by Google AdMob. The information you enter is never used to target those ads. You can remove ads in two ways: a single optional one-time in-app purchase that removes ads permanently for the Google account used to buy it, or by optionally watching a rewarded video to earn a temporary ad-free period. All purchases are processed by Google Play Billing; prices are shown in the app before you buy and may vary by region and over time. Billing, taxes and refunds are handled by Google under the Google Play Terms of Service and Google's refund policies — please direct payment and refund requests to Google Play. We do not process card payments and do not store your payment details.
Optional Google sign-in and Drive backup
Meyad can optionally back up to your own Google Drive. This is entirely optional and the app is fully usable without it. If you use it, you sign in with Google and the app saves a single passphrase-encrypted backup file to your Drive using the drive.file permission only, which limits the app to the files it itself creates. The backup is encrypted on your phone before it leaves the device and can only be restored with your passphrase; we never receive a copy and cannot read it. Our use of information from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the app, including not attempting to reverse-engineer, decompile, resell, redistribute or tamper with the app or its licensing, and not using it to store or process material that is unlawful or that infringes the rights of others.
Intellectual property
Meyad, its name, logo, design and software are owned by Graphical Art Studio and are protected by applicable law. These Terms do not transfer any ownership of the app to you. The content you create and store with the app remains yours.
Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. While we work to make the app reliable, we do not warrant that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that a reminder will always be delivered, delivered on time, or seen by you. You are responsible for verifying your important dates independently.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Graphical Art Studio shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, or for any loss arising from a missed, delayed or undelivered reminder or an expired or lapsed item, arising from your use of or inability to use the app. Because the app stores data only on your device, safeguarding and backing up that data is your responsibility.
Updates and availability
We may release updates that add, change or remove features, and we may discontinue the app or any feature at any time. Some updates may be required for continued use and are delivered through Google Play.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Your continued use of the app after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at Kolkata, West Bengal shall have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under applicable law.
