Meyad · Last updated: 30 September 2026

Meyad (“Meyad”, “the app”, “we”) is a reminder app for the dates that matter — when a warranty ends, a subscription renews, a document or insurance policy expires, or a medicine runs out. This policy explains what the app stores, what it never does, and the few times it talks to Google — only if you ask it to. In plain terms: Meyad is an offline app, your data lives on your own phone, and we do not run a server that holds it. There are no accounts, no ads, and no tracking.

1. Data the app stores on your device

Everything you enter — the items you track (warranties, subscriptions, documents, insurance, medicines and anything else), their dates and billing cycles, your reminder settings, notes, any photos or files you attach to an item, your budget figures and your preferences — is stored only in a database on your phone. It is not uploaded to us and we cannot see it. Uninstalling the app removes this data from the phone.

2. No account, no ads, no tracking

Meyad does not ask you to create an account, and it works fully offline. It shows no advertisements. It contains no analytics, no crash-reporting and no third-party tracking of any kind — there is no Firebase, no advertising SDK and no usage measurement. We do not build a profile of you, and we have no server that receives your activity.

3. Scanning a date with the camera (optional)

When you add an item, you can optionally scan a bill or receipt so the app reads its date for you. If you use this, Meyad runs Google ML Kit text recognition entirely on your device to find the date in the picture. The image is processed on the phone and is not uploaded anywhere; only the date it recognises is filled into the form. If you instead attach a photo to an item, that photo is stored only on your phone, like the rest of your data.

4. Signing in with Google (optional)

Meyad can optionally back up to your own Google Drive. To use that, you sign in with Google. Signing in is optional and the app is fully usable without it. If you sign in, Google shares your name and email address with the app, and these are stored only on your phone so the app can show which account the backup uses. We do not receive your Google password, and your name and email are never sent to us or to anyone else.

5. Google Drive backup (optional)

If you choose to back up to Google Drive, the app saves a single encrypted backup file to your own Google Drive. Two things matter here:

Limited Use disclosure. Meyad’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Data obtained through Google Sign-In and Google Drive is used only to provide the sign-in and backup features described above; it is not transferred to others, not used for advertising, and not read by humans.

6. Backup to a file you keep yourself (optional)

You can also export an encrypted backup file and keep it yourself — for example in your phone’s storage or any folder you choose. Like the Drive backup, this file is protected by your passphrase and can only be restored with it. This backup does not involve Google or us at all.

7. Notifications and reminders

Meyad’s reminders are created and scheduled on your phone. When a date is approaching, the reminder is generated locally by your device — nothing is sent to a server, and no message about your items ever leaves the phone. The optional home-screen widget likewise reads only the data already on your phone.

8. Device permissions

9. What we do not do

10. Children

Meyad is a general-purpose reminder tool and is not directed at children.

11. Data retention and deletion

Your data stays on your phone until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app. If you made a Google Drive backup, it stays in your Drive until you delete it there — open Google Drive, find the Meyad backup file and delete it. A backup file you saved to your phone or elsewhere stays until you delete that file.

12. Changes to this policy

If the app’s data practices change, this page will be updated and the “Last updated” date above will change.

13. Contact

Meyad is published by Graphical Art Studio, Kolkata, West Bengal, India. For questions about this policy or your data, contact mukeshpatra.hitk@gmail.com or phone +91 98309 49024.
